Mr & Mrs Fox Introduces a New Dining Experience
Mr & Mrs Fox, Swire Restaurants’ three-storey bar and restaurant in Quarry Bay, is thrilled to present a revitalised dining experience with the launch of brand new menus this April, designed by Executive Chef Alfredo Gomez.
Born and raised in Jalisco, Mexico, Chef Alfredo takes the helm at Mr & Mrs Fox with his seasoned knowledge originally stemming from his family’s traditional cooking, as well as his experience working in world-renowned restaurants, including Michelin-starred Takashi in Chicago. Gomez creates dishes in an unassuming way that brings out the best flavours and textures of each and every ingredient. “I don’t follow trends but instead, I focus on ensuring the classics are executed to perfection and perhaps with a slight variation. Also, I always look out for products that are in season for their freshness,” says Gomez.
The new menu available at Mrs Fox on the ground floor features a selection of signature bites for guests to enjoy with the wide range of cocktails, craft beers and wines from the bar. Highlighted dishes include La Provence Beef Tartare with roasted bone marrow, country garlic bread & smoked paprika aioli (HK$98) and the Grilled Octopus with forbidden black rice, tomato compote & herb purée (HK$178). Gomez has also incorporated some of his favourite Mexican flavours into the menu; Grilled Black Angus Steak Tacos with salsa ranchera, roasted onions & coriander (HK$132) and Red Fox Chilli with queso fresco, coriander, scallions & purple tortillas (HK$128). For diners who prefer alfresco dining, the outdoor dining area on the ground floor is a perfect spot for kicking back and enjoying what Mrs Fox has to offer.
The refreshed menu at Mr Fox on the first floor refocuses on a wider selection of meat-centric offerings including an array of dry-aged cuts such as the 16oz/450g Strip Steak (HK$480), 35oz/1kg T-Bone (HK$1,178) and 35oz/1kg Cowboy Steak (HK$998), and a 16oz/450g Pork Tomahawk (HK$288) and 12oz/340g Rib Eye (HK$388) from the grill. All meat dishes are served with a selection of condiments. In addition, the menu also offers a fresh new seafood section featuring Poached Shrimp Ceviche with marinated avocado & salmon caviar, Shellfish Hotpot (HK$168) and Diver Sea Scallops (HK$288) with sautéed potatoes, saffron cream & smoked caviar.
